HVR is holding a Driver's Education event at Lime Rock Park, Saturday September 22, 2018.  This event is open to all marques with only 40 entries accepted.

Our track day is for Advanced Drivers (White, Black, Red). We will have two run groups that will be organized by a variety of factors including driver experience, prior run group assignment(s), and what car is being driven. This is a shared event with the Lime Rock Drivers Club and we will run in alternating hours starting at 09:00.  Track will open at 07:00 am for final tech inspection and registration. Each run group can expect to get 2 hours of track time. This is a muffled event.

We have added a "Taste of the Track" Track Tour for first-time Driver Education participants to our September 22 Advanced DE.  The cost is $25.00 for one 15 min. pace car controlled session on track at 60 mph and a 20 min. classroom "chalk talk". Helmets are not required.  Vehicles licensed for road use must have a current state inspection, but a track tech inspection is not required.

Go to www.clubregistration.net or www.motorsportsreg.com to register.
For more information, contact Kevin Challacombe, Track Chair, via email at kchally@aol.com.

Spring Breakout Record Turnout!

Posted on June 27th, 2018 9:54 AM by Jeff Kriz

On June 10th, the Hudson Valley Region had a record turnout of members and their Porsches for the annual Spring Breakout. The event was held at Advanced Automotive of New Windsor.

Shop owner and Hudson Valley Region immediate past president, Tom Florio, relinquished his usual grilling duties as members were treated this year to delicious German Food provided by the Essen Express Food Truck. Tom was put to work, however, by doing a Technical Inspection demonstration. In addition, long time HVR member, Allen Littlefield, conducted an informative auto detailing clinic focusing on using a clay bar and orbital buffer.

Also helping out making the event successful was Giani Florio, Social Chairman Tom Tully, President Mark Maserjian, and Vice President Bruce Coopersmith.

Spring Breakout postponed until June 10!

Posted on May 11th, 2018 12:41 PM by Jeff Kriz

PLEASE NOTE: Because of pending rainy weather, the Breakout has been postponed until Sunday June 10th!

Even if you have already signed up, please RSVP to Tom and Giani Florio to confirm that you can make the new date (link is below).
