Remembering Craig Atkins

Posted on February 13th, 2018 8:46 AM by Jeff Kriz

The Hudson Valley Region Porsche Club of America regrets to announce the passing of one of our members, Craig Atkins. Craig died on Thursday, February 1, 2018.
Craig was a frequent participant at driving events in his black 944 Turbo and became a National PCA Driver Education Instructor. Craig worked as a Tax Preparer and volunteered his services for the club. His wife, Mary Ann, also helped out with registration at driving events.
Craig's friendliness and good humor will be missed.

HVR begins 2018 season with successful Annual Banquet!

Posted on February 12th, 2018 2:31 PM by Jeff Kriz

In case you missed it, we had an exciting and well attended afternoon banquet at Plated American Bistro in Hopewell Junction on February 11th. As usual, our resident raconteur (and DE Chair), Kevin Challacombe, acted as emcee. President Mark Maserjian thanked everyone for attending as well as welcoming new members. Kevin, along with Social Activities Chair, Tom Tully, announced the planned events for the year. Following a delicious meal, we were treated to an enlightening presentation by our guest speaker, Continental Tire Race Series driver (and PCA/HVR member), Aurora Straus.
Thanks to all attendees and those who volunteered in making this a successful event!
